The Solutions
There are a few quick and easy methods to cleaning your sink based on what kind of sink it is. Stainless-steel sinks, for example, clean best with a baking soda and dish soap solution. For white kitchen sinks, however, using hydrogen peroxide and baking soda works best. For potential rust buildup on a porcelain sink, lemon, salt and dish soap combine for an effective mix to scrub the rust away. For any of these solutions, start by rinsing your sink and then applying the mixture, and use a sponge or microfiber cloth to scrub away any gross buildup. Afterwards, rinse the sink off with water and dry.
